Pink October was created in 1998 by a group of volunteers whose goal was to create a breast cancer awareness campaign that focused on the women and their families living in the Yuba-Sutter community.

Today, the month long awareness campaign encourages everyone to "think pink" and brings breast cancer awareness to the forefront.

Sutter North is honored to serve on this committee and work with this group of dedicated men and women. As sponsor of the women's health screening day, Sutter North provides free health screenings to women who may not have access to the regular yearly examines that could save their life.
