Professional interests:

Dr. Cox maintains interest in all areas of treatment of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. He is particularly interested in treatment of skin cancers with a variety of surgical and non-surgical modalities. Dr. Cox is experienced in using lasers for both medical and cosmetic applications. Other cosmetic interests include liposuction, fillers, and Botox.

Community activities:

Dr. Cox has served Yuba, Sutter, Colusa and Nevada counties as a dermatologist since 1991. He served as a clinical assistant professor of Dermatology at U.C. San Francisco for more than 10 years. While in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Cox served as the Dermatology Consultant to the USAFE Surgeon General. Now a retired Lt. Colonel, Dr. Cox was called back to active duty and served during Operation Desert Storm. Dr. Cox served as Yuba-Sutter-Colusa County Medical Society President in 1995. He is a past recipient of the Kunde Youth Service Award for his work in using lasers to remove tattoos from former gang members.

Personal interests:

He finds fulfillment in reading, walking, fitness exercise, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
